Leaffree Ice Peak Mountain Golden Lily Oolong mainly grows in medium altitude tea gardens in Lugu,
Natou and the fresh leaves come from hand plucked Jinxuan “Golden Daylily” Variety(Taiwan Tea var. 12)
which is hybrid of Tainon No.8 variety and Firm Stem Red Tip Variety.
This variety was breed by Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station in 1987 has strong tree vigor,
with round and bigger leaves which makes it more adaptive to different environments,
allowing for higher yields. This variety is also perfect for making Paochong, Black tea and Oolong tea.
In addition, Lugu district boasts most delicate baking techniques in Taiwan.
Medium fermented and roasted production processes help this variety display
its sweetness and strengths to the extreme.
The tea leaves of Ice Peak Mountain Golden Lily Oolong are tight ball shaped.
Its tea liquid appears clear amber orange, with roasted grain and floral flavors.
